After a bit of a rubbish day at work I decided the best thing was to have a wander around the patch. Almost the first bird I clapped eyes on was a cracking male Redstart. It showed well for the whole time I was there. It seemed that a small fall of warblers had occurred with several new Chiffchaffs, Willow Warblers and Whitethroats.
